| I am a big fan of stand up comedy, and there are some comedians who are just too funny for me to even describe. This page contains some of my absolute favorite comedians and links to their sites. |

Eddie
Izzard ties for first place for my choice of the funniest comedian I have
ever seen. I call him "the comedian for intelligent people."
What I mean by that is a majority of Eddie's jokes are about world history,
and if you aren't educated about world history (and I'm talking starting
WAY back) then you won't get many of his jokes. Eddie's official home
page is EddieIzzard.com |

Dane
Cook ties with Eddie Izzard for being one of the two funniest comedians
I have ever seen. I have seen Dane live at least 8 times and have listened
to his CD enough times to have it memorized, practically. Dane is one
of those comedians you can never get sick of listening to. His jokes are
just as funny the 964th time as they are the 1st time. |

Carlos
Mencia is absolutely hysterical. His whole routine is pretty much ranking
on political correctness (right up my alley!), but he has the funniest
way of presenting his opinions. I have literally cried from laughing so
hard watching both his HBO special and his stand-up special on Comedy
Central. I would LOVE to see this guy live, but I have yet to hear of
him performing anywhere on the east coast. |

Richard
Jeni is just hilarious. I've seen him live at the Comedy Connection in
Boston twice, and each time I was laughing so hard I couldn't even open
my eyes. |

I can't imagine anyone who hasn't heard of Denis Leary. Believe it or not, he's actually from Worcester, MA. He puts on the annual Comics Come Home at the Orpheum Theater in Boston, which I've seen live 3 times. He also sponsors the Celebrity Hat Trick hockey game each year to benefit the Worcester Firefighters Fund. Denis Leary stars in one of the funniest movies I've ever seen, The Ref. He also starred in his own sitcom called The Job. He's vulgar and he's not politically correct...you can see why I like him. Click here for Denis Leary's web site.

John Witherspoon has appeared in many movies and tv shows. My favorite movie he has appeared in is Friday, with Chris Tucker and Ice Cube. I've seen John Witherspoon twice at the Comedy Connection in Boston and got to meet him the last time. He is an absolute riot and he was especially nice and down to earth when we met. I've been a fan of Robert Schimmel's for many years, and he just gets funnier and funnier. Some of his jokes are real dirty, but if you can handle that type of humor, you'll have tears in your eyes from laughing so hard. I've seen him twice at the Comedy Connection. I first saw Robert Kelly at the Comedy Connection in Boston. He was the opening act for Dane Cook and he was hysterical. A few days later I turned on Comedy Central, and there he was on tv doing his stand up routine. He's from Boston but now resides in NYC. He is worth checking out...our whole table couldn't stop laughing. His web site is www.robertkellylive.com
