at Masa in Boston

Nothing like carrying your own bottle of wine and a glass around the bar. I like to think of it as the sophisticated double fisting

Shawn and me with my empty bottle of Riesling

Nate preparing to be my next punching bag at Krav

Shawn drinking wine???? Where's the JD at?

As you can see, I felt this empty glass was simply unacceptable

Since Masa has several specialty margaritas, I figured why not let the Riesling rest for a bit and go for something different, so I ordered Val and myself this monstrosity

This would've been a lovely shot if this straw didn't appear to be completely up my nose. That's nice. Real sophisticated

Well the margarita didn't last long. I'm just not a fan of tequila, so I ordered another bottle of Riesling

I don't even want to know what's in that glass, but if it's anything like the horrendous shots they made us do, I'll pass!

Ahh, yes, that's more like it. Now this just looks correct

I have no idea why I'm fooling around with straws, but there is no need for lone shenanigans

If Stacey were with us, I can almost guarantee some straw shenanigans would've taken place

A happier person, you will never see, than me pouring a nice fresh glass of Riesling...

...except when I'm actually drinking the aforementioned freshly poured glass of Riesling

Val and Nate attempting to work on this margarita. Poor Nate had to listen to relationship advice from Val and me all night. Yeah, a couple of real relationship experts over here!

As per usual, as the night goes on, I become more disheveled with every photo

Val and me. I'm pretty sure that's as far as this margarita got. Now give me a glass of wine this big, and I'd give it 15 minutes tops before fully consumed

I did keep attempting at a sip here and there, but it just wasn't working for me

Val and I look so thrilled. lol Perhaps it was time to call it a night. ...and cut!

Val and I with the cutie pie waiter at Bocado (which was fabulous, by the way)

Seeing how our own self-shot didn't work out too well, we had someone at the next table take a better one

Before leaving Bocado, I texted Ben to see where he was. Much to my shock and awe, he was at this local strip club, where yes, you guessed it, Val and I joined him until closing. Here's Val's drunk ass as we were leaving

My friend Kelly and I have been taking all our Pilates instructor certification courses together in CT. One of our Instructor Trainers owns two Pilates studios in the Boston area, and her husband has just opened a brand new wine shop in Hyde Park called Albert Winestein. So about a month ago, our IT told us if we ever come to the wine shop, to come on a Monday night because they'd be having wine tastings and pairings. So right then and there, Kelly and I picked this evening in January to go to the shop. To say it was an adventure doesn't even begin to describe the evening's events. Kelly drove up to my house in Worcester from southern CT. Because of insane traffic, it took her 3 hours to get to my house. So once she arrives, we hop in my car and head out for the 45 minute drive to Hyde Park. We finally find this wine shop, after spotting what we believe to be a UFO, after getting behind 2 insane drivers who must've been drunk, after stopping behind parked cars at the Hyde Park T station for no reason, and after me stopping at a stop sign waiting for it to turn green. lol

So we park the car, get out and walk a block or two until we finally find the wine shop. And guess what. IT'S CLOSED! Here's Kelly and her "ummm, what?" stance

Here I am perplexed as I'm looking at the business hours sign in the window

As you can clearly see, the shop is open every weekday until 9pm, EXCEPT MONDAYS! Well, being the fun gals that we are, we just laughed it off and decided to head up to Chestnut Hill to have some dinner and beverages

So we finally arrive at the Cheesecake Factory at the Atrium in Chestnut Hill (where by the way, valet parking was full, so we had to drive around the packed garage for a good 10 minutes. That was just oodles of fun.) Here I am with my favorite C.F. bev...the strawberry martini. These things are heavenly!

Kelly with one of our chocolate shakes that were "on the house," (gee, thanks for such generosity) that she mixed with part of her strawberry martini

Missa and Kelly enjoying one of many strawberry martinis

So the bartender overhears us chatting about our weird evening, so we start telling him about the wine shop and whatnot. So this man John was seated next to us at the bar and joins the conversation. To make a long story short, turns out he is one of our IT's Pilates clients, and in fact had just had a session with her that very morning! Even he said he thought they were supposed to be having wine tastings on Monday nights. lol Talk about a small world

So after a good 5 or 6 martinis, we decide to head out. The once packed parking lot was as you can see, now completely empty. Kelly and I just felt it necessary that we display the lack of cars, I have no idea why

Me with the shirt Kelly gave me for Festivus, which reads "PILATES Hard Core Pleasure" lol Loving it! I wore it to work two days later and got some rather weird looks from some of my older, more conservative clients. lol

Boo and me at Red Sky in Boston

Boo chatting it up with some guy. I can't recall his name now, but I was calling him something rather amusing all night

Me and some guy who was kindly supplying us with our many wines...

...and here's Boo and his friend, who claimed to be a cop, but it's really anyone's guess

Boo and me again as the night wears on

I have no clue who this crew is or where they even came from

Boo and me with one of the guys in the crew

Oh Christ, here we go. The regulation hex/middle finger photo, me clearly feeling WAY too good at this point

More regulation hex/middle finger. Why, WHY???

Ummm, yeah, time to call it a night!

Apparently Boo and I made some friends in the lobby that we go through to get to the parking gargage

I'm going to take a wild stab in the dark and guess that I took this photo of this guy because of his Gotti-kid haircut, which as most people know, I CAN'T STAND!!
