Monet's Houdini Escape

The following 5 videos were taken while the birds didn't know they were being filmed. Monet had been escaping his cage by dumping one of his food bowls out of its holder, unlatching the food bowl door (the latch is on the outside of the door, mind you) and then escaping out the little food bowl door! I was just dying to see this happen, so I set up "surveillance." I set up my home video camera in the bird room & connected it to my television down in my office so I could observe the boys while I work. Finally, after weeks of waiting, Monet escaped while he was being recorded. The following 5 videos are of 3 seperate escapes, the first 2 occuring within 15 minutes.

Pretty Wings Dali and I play a game called "Pretty Wings." Dali will lift his wings in order to get me to react to it by excitedly saying "Oooh, Pretty wings, Dali!" He will keep lifting his wings over and over, as long as I keep reacting in an excited way. The 1st video below is of Dali playing the game. The 2nd and 3rd videos are of Monet waving to me and Dali trying to compete for my attention by doing "pretty wings."
